Upgrade JS Jobs to Pro

Your free board becomes Pro where it is. Paste your activation key in the JS Jobs admin and the installer adds every Pro feature, module and plugin. Your jobs, companies and resumes stay.

Before you start
  • JS Jobs installed on the site. Not yet? Install the free version first.
  • Your activation key, from your order page or the order email. Where to find it.
  • A fresh backup of your site. The upgrade keeps your data, and a backup is good practice before any install.
  1. Buy JS Jobs Pro and copy your key

Choose a plan on the JS Jobs page. As soon as the payment goes through, your order page shows the activation key with a Copy button. The same key is in your order email.

  2. Open JS Jobs Update

In your Joomla administrator, go to Components›JS Jobs›Admin›JS Jobs Update.

The JS Jobs Update screen in Joomla 6 with the activation key field and the steps Activation Key, Check, Review, Install
JS Jobs Update: four steps, from your key to the installed Pro version.
  3. Paste your key and check

Paste the activation key and click Check for Updates. JS Jobs confirms the key with our server and checks that your site can install the package.

  4. Install Pro

When the check passes, click Update Now. The installer downloads JS Jobs Pro, replaces the extension’s files and adds the Pro modules and plugins. It takes a few minutes. Keep the window open until it finishes.

  5. You are on Pro

The version at the top of JS Jobs shows the new version, and the Pro features are on. Your jobs, companies, resumes and settings are where you left them. From now on JS Jobs checks for new versions once a day and tells you on its dashboard.

If the check does not pass

  • The key is not accepted. Copy it again from your order page, with no spaces before or after it.
  • A PHP extension is missing. Updating from the JS Jobs admin needs the PHP cURL and OpenSSL extensions. Your host can switch them on.
  • A folder is not writeable. Joomla must be able to write to administrator/components/com_jsjobs, components/com_jsjobs and tmp. Your host can fix the permissions.
  • The update subscription has ended. JS Jobs keeps working, but new versions need an active plan. Renew, then check again.
